Please cut to the 2:00 mark for the action to start. Sorry it takes a minute to get going, this was the first time running this section of trail. The ruts were pretty deep and fun! This ended up being my favorite part of the day, I ran it a couple of times! THANKS TO THE PROPERTY OWNERS FOR ALLOWING US TO RUN THEIR TRAILS WITH THEM, GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!

  • Tell me the pros and cons of the YJ kit vs. your old setup.

  • @zukinchilly

I'll try to make it brief. For the pros and cons, to be completely honest with you I have no cons to going to the YJ swap since it's been done. No cons out of the springs or missing links F/R. To be truthful if there was a con to me it would only be the expense of getting it all setup. I still haven't put on my front shocks and new shock hoops or rear shocks.... their soon to come though, I have them, just haven't put them on. (lazy). I love the articulation the YJ's give . . . .

  • @1bigZuki

and love the way the missing links open up and give that extra bit of travel. I can put a tire on a friends 36" Swamper and still have a little left to go.... I'm running a 34" tire right now. As far as on road ride, it doesn't really see much road travel, but isn't bad.

As far as the previous setup It was a 6" spring over. I liked it, flex was't bad, ride was pretty good. I honestly just wanted more out of it. It wasn't that I was unhappy or anything, it just progressed that way.

  • we need specs.. wrangler springs what else??

  • @1969dane

    I apologize for not responding....

A quick rundown is Stock YJ springs SPOA, Missing links F/R, 6.5 tcase, built shaved camed engine, 34" LTBs, home made F/R bumpers, rock sliders, belly skid, diff guards, over the top steering, lockrights F/R.

There's been quite a few more things done but that is just the bigger stuff that people usually ask about. If you'd like any more info, feel free to ask! Thanks for checking out the vid!
