I performed this on Sept. 2, 2009 at a benefit for Stop Child Trafficking Now (sctnow.org). This song is on my new album, "Second Skin" now available on iTunes and at www.alfa-music.com. This is one of my favorite songs to play live because I get to ask people to sing along at the end! This crowd did a great job harmonizing, too. :)
Foot Out the Door by Alfa Garcia
Dont know if I trust you yet
To walk me into the dark
And I know a smiles a smile
Despite my foolish heart
Nows about time for us to take
A little more wine before I say
I am the one with my foot out the door
Scared and confused havent been here before
You remind me love is a road thats long
Ive got nothing to fear at all.
And Ive tried to take my time
Without looking so far
But what good is a promise if
they stop where they start.
Give me some room and leave me to
ponder upon impending doom
I am the one with my foot out the door
Scared and confused havent been here before
You remind me love is a road thats long
Ive got nothing to fear at all.
So calm these fears
My attempts to be rational
Are pulling in
The parts that waited ages
Give me some room and leave me to
ponder upon impending doom
You remind me love is a road thats long
I got nothing to fear at all.
Nice song! I love the lyrics. You seriously deserve a lot more views.

As a singer and fellow supporter of Stop Child Trafficking Now, I give you a big thumbs-up for performing at a benefit, & doing it so well. I like your style - hearing you urges me to write a song, possibly through the eyes of a young victim, or of God & how he sees her.
Keep doing what you're doing; keep acting on your convictions; don't let anyone tell you it won't make much difference. If you do whatever you can to stop injustice, you'll be blessed w/honor & heavenly rewards from God himself!
