We know America as we know it will not exist during the 7 years of the tribulation period. States are upset with the dictator like demands coming from Washington. No country on earth can take over America because we citizens are heavily armed and won't stand for it. I won't be surprised if some country or countries don't try but they will not be sucessfull.

@GeradAkkdesu I completely agree with you about the positive effects of legalization. However, with or without legalization, an independent Texas would crush the cartels. I just spent 5 weeks in Mexico. In the last 12 years I have spent a total of about 50 weeks there. I have a good grip on what the Cartels can and cannot accomplish. Texas rednecks and loyal Chicanos would handle them. They are well armed but they simply don't have the competence or discipline of Americans.

@eflint1 you don't understand do you. The cartels have some extremely expensive military equipment, are large and well organized. They're almost an advanced military. Defeating the cartels would be extremely hard, the best bet would be to legalize all drugs they make money on. If you cut off the funding then the organization will fall apart or find a new market to control.

America maybe falling apart but what does this have to do with the Bible. Many powerful nations have risen and fallen, so what? The world could go on indefinitely, it may change dramatically from what it now is, but what does this have to do with the second coming of Christ. We are so egocentric we cannot imagine ourselves living at any other time than the climax of history, and every generation before us has made the same mistake, learn from the past people! Hal needs to hang it up and retire,
