  • Patty Andrews... Possibly the most underrated voice of the 20th Century.

    Just FANTASTIC!!!!

  • The Andrews Sisters are the best, and Patty is unreal. Love their 1937-1947 period.

  • what a time...all war and all...ugh...

  • @Spartacus103uk she is awsome, i know.

  • @dogalicious14 they were pretty. notice the resemblence of them three. lots of people agreed w/ me. A & C should have sung & danced a few numbers w/ these girls. A & C had great talent besides their comedy. also the girls should have appeared in a few more movies w/ the boys. they belonged together. a beautiful song. patty is 93 years old.****

  • Lovely song from an equally fantastic trio. I grew up during WWII and saw these ladies perform in movies of that time. What wonderful memories they bring back. They helped us to cope with the horror of that wartime era. May we all continue to cherish the beauty of their music forever.

  • Oh my, does this song bring back sweet but sad memories. I saw this movie in 1942 when I was 12 during WWII when my brother and many family members and friends were away fighting for the freedom we enjoy today. My brother called me tonight to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving (he's 84 and I'm 81) and I'm grateful he came home from the war. Thank you SmokersDelight for posting it. OneKewpie.

  • The blonde lead singer -- Patty Andrews (mezzo-soprano; born February 16, 1918) -- is the sole survivor. Happy birthday, Patty.

  • Too lovely for words-many thanks!

  • yes , the abbott & costello DVD box set (the universal years). laugh & enjoy.****

  • TO DURANDCONNIE: Yes, this is in the movie "Buck Privates" and getting a DVD of it should be no problem. Try eBay and Amazon for the best deals. Good luck!!!!

  • This is my inlaws song...Dad was in WWII and they were married in May. How can I get a full clip of this scene...was it part of "Buck Privates" and if so do you think it would be in DVD???
