@snaps81625 I have never canned anything so I don't know! It lasts months in the fridge, though.

@kuroshitsuji101 I haven't tried it but wouldn't recommend it. The flavor would still be good, but it wouldn't be as thick. If that doesn't bother you, then go for it.

@SporkyPoo It does get crystallized around the edges but there's no way to avoid it with this kind of burnt sugar recipe for caramel sauce. The finished product does not have any crystallization.
