Sims 3 Custom Animation Test

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the Sims 3 machinima community. However, I have been quietly reading tutorials on custom poses, animations, as well as machinima guides specific to the Sims 3 and other games.

The sim I'm using in this video is named Riley Hayes. She is the lead character in my upcoming movie Quietly Kept. I originally completed the script a few weeks ago but I have thoroughly revised it since then.

I'm still working on the main characters. So, her features may change in the future. Quietly Kept is a thriller centering Riley's unexpected journey that leads her to a crossroad. The decision she makes results in a dangerous mystery unfolding that could mean the difference between life and death.

I would like to thank Simul8rReviews, orangemittens & SSMusicProductions for their awesome tutorials. This is my second animation and it is far from completed. There are a lot of details I need to fix like facial expressions as well as bringing her arm up, so that is crosses the other.

If you know where I could learn how to change sim's expressions and lip sync in Milkshape please drop me a link to a tutorial or video. I would really appreciate it!

Great job on your custom animation :) It's really smooth and fluid. Milkshape is a great app but it can't do lip syncing as far as I know, unless there are some plugins available that offer this feature. I could do with a lip syncing app for my series :)

@SSMusicProductions Thanks for the compliment. I hope, I'll be able to attempt creating animations similar to your action packed ones down the road. Do you know if other sims directors create dialogue animations or is it just really good camera work and editing? I really like the dialogue in the sims movie Eminence Rising. I tried to post the link but I got an error message.

How did you get the lips to move and the feet to be in that position. Mine dont in the game :(

@SSMusicProductions I've done about 30 custom animations for my next movie lol. I must be insane. I've produced over 30 voice acted videos and we all use devious editing. It would take way too long to lip sync via external applications. The best solution would be for a mod to generate lip syncing in real time in game, but no one has developed one yet. Strangely, my co-actor starred in Eminence Rising, so I know it well :) Sy did an awesome job directing :)
