Star Control II - Melee Deathmatch One (Part Two)

Recorded using DOSbox 0.65. Intense melee action, even though we both haven't played in a while! Alix is top team, I'm bottom team. I totally owned his Pkunk with my Druuge ship. What an awesome shot. I also took out his Mmrnmhrm ship with great panache I think.

Good tactic for Orz. is to rotate the gun backwards. With their great maneuvering, you can fly close, fire a marine or two then disengage leaving a trail of gunfire in your wake.

The Mauler suffers against anything with shields, but IIRC it can blast through a Yehat Terminator's shields if you're accurate enough. Good tactical use of a Syreen Penetrator should be able to empty out a Mycon Podship. (Failing that, there's always leading his shots back into him or making him hit the gravity well as you did!)

Those DOGIs really saved you with the Ilwrath Avenger! Nice, telling shots against the VUX Intruder, though, and you finished off the Supox Blade nicely and quickly. Your brother's Pkunk FINALLY went down versus your Druuge Mauler, but thanks to a lucky resurrection, it took you a few too many ships.
