This is a Israeli rebarreled k98k. The Israelis got large shipments of these rifles which they rebarreled to 7.62 NATO for fighting their independence wars.

Actually, the Israelis bought the guns from companies in Czechoslovakia and Belgium.

@aryan8715 after ww2 the British government rechambered k98s, mg42s, mg34s into .308 and gave them to the israelis

@himmler251 Lolno. The israelis bought the rifles from a few countrys and I don't think they bought any from the British. The Israelis converted from 7.92x57 to 7.62x51NATO in the mid 1950s and into the 1960s since they had recently been granted the use of the 7.62x51 NATO round. If they bought any Mauser's from the British or other commonwealth countrys we'd be seeing some British proof marked stocks and rifles. My Israeli K98k was rebarreled in 1957.
