how is wide grip illegal? it targets your pecs more. now whats illegal about this is the arch in his back and how he is humping the weight up

Shouldn't the maximum grip length be set based on the size of the individual? A power lifter (even if they're not professional) who is 6'6" and has a wingspan at least that size needs a wider grip to have similar chest:tricep leverage as someone who is only 6 feet or smaller.
Seems like a ridiculous rule.

@zkyggen there is a maximum grip width that is legally allowed in competitions.
