Joshua 10:12 - 13 Then spoke Joshua to YAH in the day when YAH delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

The problem with chrisitans today, is they don't care what is true and what is not. They would rather be pompous and haughty; bear false witness against their neighbor; and thrill themselves on being false preachers and false teachers.

Instead of having and portraying virtues, they lie, cheat, steal, and certainly do not give up their riches as "Jesus" instructed them to do.

@yourmamac Got the answer? "Jesus", because he was NEVER called such. Because in his time, and NOT til 12th c. AD, there was NO 'J' in Hebrew, Greek, or Latin. 'jew' was invented in 13th c AD to inject such 'creature' in the Vulgate, in spite of the usual 'I' until then, then in 16th c AD 'jew' included the vandal Khazar and the rapine Ashkenazi, today, 95% of so called 'jews' (BS!). @emeralds222 I would agree that to many people who call themselves christians are exactly what you describe. However,,,, a true follower of Christ is none of these things. I care about the truth, ive heard a lot of different arguments against christianity but none that didnt have a reasonable answer given time study and prayer. furthermore the science and prophecy and history contained in Gods word does indeed confirm it as Gods word. You put Jesus in hyphens, why?

There is a good explanation for this being a real event in the book, 'Worlds in Collision', by Immanuel Velikovsky. Published about 1960. Still available on Ebay or Amazon. He draws together ancient manuscripts from all quarters of the ancient world, not just the bible, and presents his case very well. I believe he actually shows the birth of the God of the Jews, as well as the Goddess Venus and the great God Zeus.None of which are real gods of course.
