Learn the Ted Nugent Stranglehold Guitar Riff from the ByrdmanSteve!

Once again, I, The Byrdman Steve, am using my 1968 Gibson Byrdland guitar. This Byrdland was not one of Ted Nugent's but it was set up by Ted Nugent's guitar man at Elderly Instruments for me. I asked him to set it up for Ted Nugent and send it to me.

I say learn at your own risk. Riffs are documented to be correct 97.5% of the time, to use some Rush Limbaugh promotional analogies.

The Stranglehold Riff may be one of God's greatest gifts to Ted Nugent, hence the world, but then again, I may be a little biased.

Stranglehold is a legendary rock-n-roll guitar riff but, believe it or not, is one of the easier ones to play.

I want to thank all of you for your encouragement and requests to make more videos. I would love to quit my day job and oblige, but for now I'll say pretend you're just waiting for the new Boston album to come out:)

Best Wishes,
Byrdman Steve

  • @harryw3211 I figured Corrosion is what you meant. I traded Ted's Byrd number 6 that I obtained nearly 20 years ago for the HR Fusion with Ted. I do not currently own a Byrdland of Ted's. The HR came from Ted to me. He got the better of the deal in terms of guitar but I would have never forgiven myself if I didn't make the deal with Ted. I bought a 68 Byrd a few years ago. It's the one with Ted's sig. on it in many of my videos. Ted checked it over when he signed it and gave it full approval!

  • thanks for the reply steve.

o yeh the real one florentine cut.

ive red on forums its a cemical reaction between pguard and pickupcover(should have said corrosion)

weird stuff that celluloid, heard about old movies in a can that spontanious can ignite.

steve i am puzzled you swapped the nr6 for the hr fusion,

how did you get your second byrland?

and in terms of feedback me think the hr is more controlleble?

can send you pics of the '68

but need an emailadress for it.

    be good brother.

  • @harryw3211 Thanks for the confidence:) You got it, attitude all the way:) I wouldn't guess from your description it would effect the coils. They are likely under a pickup cover. Green snot is usually cleanable in my experience. Don' know what kind of finish you'd be left with. Mine is a 68 too. Are you looking at Florentine Cutaway model?

  • great video steve thanks.

whats that talk about your hair, forget it dont limit yourself your a good guy yes you are.

dont tell me you forgot lesson 1 from uncle ted; attitude attitude etc.

need your help bad,im going to have a look on a '68 byrdland.

on the picture it has some green snot between pickguard and pickup.

that d... celluloid, how much does it affect the coils?
