Iarla Ó Lionáird, lead singer for Afro-Celt Sound System, sings "Aisling Gheal" (Bright Vision). A haunting song, in the sean nós tradition (old style) of Irish Gaelic folksong, from Ó Lionáird's 1997 album with Womad, "The Seven Steps to Mercy." The song was recorded when Ó Lionáird was 14 years old.

This guy and another guy from Afro Celt did a set on the KCRW show Morning Becomes Eclectic years ago. You can listen to it at their website. It's often just him and a drum. The music is so stripped down and it's incredible. Do yourself a favor and look it up.

If you want to listen to a greek song (from crete) that resembles this sean nos song, copy-paste "Δόμνα Σαμίου Για ιδές περβόλιν έμορφο" (behold a beautiful orchard).
Similar a capella singing. Tradition of high quality.
