Uganda, officially the Republic of Uganda, is a landlocked country in East Africa. Uganda is also known as the "Pearl of Africa". It is bordered on the east by Kenya, on the north by Sudan, on the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the southwest by Rwanda, and on the south by Tanzania. The southern part of the country includes a substantial portion of Lake Victoria, which is also bordered by Kenya and Tanzania.
Uganda takes its name from the Buganda kingdom, which encompassed a portion of the south of the country including the capital Kampala.
The people of Uganda were hunter-gatherers until 1,700 to 2,300 years ago, when Bantu-speaking populations migrated to the southern parts of the country.[4] Uganda gained independence from Britain on 9 October 1962.
The official languages are English and Swahili, although multiple other languages are spoken in the country.
It is a member of the African Union, the Commonwealth of Nations, Organisation of the Islamic Conference and East African Community.

  • @MissLillith666 (continued) And another thing - stop generalising African countries! They aren't all the same, and until you've been to one of them, stop acting like you understand modern-day African culture. Because based on your other comments on this video, you do not.

  • @MissLillith666 Haha, you're doing it again - you haven't even been to Uganda and are telling me what it's like. I'm just saying you should stop assuming things about places you've never been to. Yes, almost all RURAL Ugandans rely on agriculture, however the majority of the population live in cities (granted, this documentary didn't really show much about Uganda's cities) Not all of Africa is like what you see isn't Disney films.

Also - Vienna IS the Austrian capital.

  • @OliviaSBee Yes, I have been to Vienna and actually spent a few days in the Austrian capital.I have a good friend in Berlin and plan to go there next year. I was talking about the industry, historical buildings and stuff like this. Are you saying that Uganda is the same with the European capitals? Hellooo, we're talking about a country from Africa! Isn't their lifestyle still based on agriculture and isn't Uganda made of mostly tribes?

  • @MissLillith666 In what way? The climate? The shops? The people? The wildlife? The industries? You should be more specific. Plus it's pretty hard to compare a whole country with a city.

Also - have you been to Berlin or Vienna? Stop talking like you know everything.

  • @OliviaSBee I know it's not like in Berlin or Vienna.

  • @MissLillith666 Clearly, you don't know much about Uganda or Ugandan culture.

  • Hahaha

  • Boycott all Uganda products, services and tourism, until Uganadan gays are given human rights. Yes, I planned on visting Uganda, even expatriating; but not now since I've learned of your anti-christian, brutality towards gay Ugandans.

  • @mpigiful Oh...haha, sorry, I thought you replied to my previous comments :D

  • yeh but their prices for hotels etc are not african most expensive i ever seen,.yeh i should have checked ot out beofre going,.but it reminded me so much of damascus,..scarey,.
