Placing them next to a running sink gives the same comfort... well, of course the only downside is that you'd waste some water.

thats the most adorable and beautiful thing ever....love it!

So, I asked my OB/GYN and pediatrician about this technique, and they BOTH said it is fine for the baby as it mimics the comforting sounds of the womb. Should I trust all of these doctors who have posted negative comments here more?
Great video. You must have had one of those "happiest babies."

Gosh I remember seeing a few of your videos of P.Grace a while back and again, what JOY this brings me!! She's so incredibly gorgeous!!
-
if you knew your childs cry she is actually showing the hungry cry!
-
Wow she is beautiful. :D Good job soothing her. She has quite bright eyes.
-
Well it worked...and hardly ''choking'' and way better than letting her bawl endlessly. Well done...
-
if he was choking her she wouldn't she be purple and not breathing? if he was hurting her ears wouldn't she cry more instead of being soothed? maybe you guys should consider reading or watching the dvd of The Happiest Baby on the block and learning what the 5's are and why he is doing what he is doing with his daughter before you make your ignorant comments.

what a beautiful, and very loved child!

what a beautiful, and obviously loved child!
brilliant people... yes, i'm CHOKING and simultaneously destroying my daughter's ears! What a great technique eh? For all you conspiracy theorists, I'm happy to report that my daughter, now 4 years old has all of her hearing capabilities intact.... and she has never had an ear infection. I like to think that I was injecting, good healthy antibodies directly into her ear canal. So all you overly concerned ninnies can take a big deep sigh of relief and continue watching your cat videos.
