@reoman98 WoW wasnt the beginning of MMOs, but it is the most played MMO ever. you cant argue with that
-
well seeing that you compare all the mmorpg's to wow, i think ill just play wow
-
the only thing similar among the two games is the storyline since wow is based of warcraft. It did not come out as a mmorpg because it isnt one. wow came out in 2004 thats when it began not in 1994 when warcraft came out.

this game sucks to download.

@TheACE377 What a childish response. I'm not debating all of gaming history. The really old games you had to pay per hour to play. But the people you mentioned were still kids when those were coming out.
-
@reoman98 idiotic, andrew and paul gower made some games in the 90s before rs classic, then runescape 2 came out, so suck my dick

@CevinUsAmericas Just because they share names doesn't mean they are anything alike. Warcraft 1-3 are RTS games that have more in common with Command and Conquer, Total Annihilation and Starcraft. I have played all these games including the original Warcraft from around the time of release. I had no problem starting games like WoW because I had played DAoC. If you want to see a clone of WoW, look at Rift. But MMORPG and RTS are completely different just as Warcraft and WoW.

@reoman98 First of all, Blizzard made Warcraft in 1994, which is pretty much Exactly the same as World of warcraft, except for the free running stuff. So technically, Blizzard did make it first, just because it didn't come out as a ''MMORPG'' Game doesn't mean it wasn't created. They later made a different version of Warcraft, and called it world of warcraft.

I remember when this game was popular....like 3 years ago...
Mythic made Dark Age of Camelot years before World of Warcraft came out. Everquest came out in 1999 before DAoC. Those of you who believe Warcraft was the beginning of MMORPG are young idiots.
