The attitude era destroyed the value of the titles. Or at least began the downfall. The first time i remember them doing it was when Kane beat Austin in 98 and held the title for a day! Cheap ratings grabbing Russo tactics that sadly the business has never grown out of. Now the belt is nearly meaningless, even more so since they have 2 world titles.
