Growing Up (Mediacorp) Season 1, Episode 001 : Yesterday. Part 1A

Local English drama goes nostalgic! Rediffusion, the wayang, The Beatles ... ... icons which evoke memories of the '60s are the stuff in this new serial is made of. It charts the ups & downs of the Tay family living in the era as seen through the eyes of the 2nd son (Steven Lim). Lim Kay Tong plays the stern patriach & Wee Soon Hui, the typical stoic mother. Look out too for Andrew Seow's protrayal as a James Dean-like rebel.

Oh Man ! I still can remember watching "Growing Up" Drama Series. Back then, I was only in Primary 2. Anyway, thanks for uploading this classic series, because its so hard to find this kind of old TCS shows nowadays....^^and I hope you can upload more episodes with better quality perhaps ^^

yeah, i want all 6 seasons on DVD. this is the best local english drama ever. past, present or future no other mediacorp drama can ever be as good as this.

I'm an American married to a Singaporean, and I enjoyed seeing dramatisation of Singapore life in the 60's-80's. My early impressions of the show was that it was too melodramatic, so much so that I sometimes got some laughs from it. I first arrived in Singapore towards the end of the series run, so I cannot say that I all that familiar with who's who in the story.

I just checked with Mediacorp. They have no intention to release this show on DVD! Argggg. We got to work together and bug them! Flood them with email enquiries or can anybody start a petition?

oh boy oh boy im SOOOOOOOO happy to see this on youtube!!! i remember crying my eyes out when the mom passed away - and it was the night before my PSLE science paper :O and i was soooo traumatized during the exam too. hee. and THEN i was totally star-struck when i saw wee soon hui in person helping out at my sch's founder's day celebration store.. hehe she made ice kachang balls!!

I do hope they do sell this on DVD.. like they are with the current tv shows such as fighting spiders and the chinese serials
