Recorded in Paris on February 3, 2007.
"Les Rois du Fox-Trot" play LOTS O'MAMA, a composition by Elmer Schoebel (1923). In 1929, The Missourians made their own arrangement of this tune and called it "Ozark Mountain Blues".
The musicians present on this clip are Jean-Pierre Morel and Shona Taylor (cornets), Patrick Bacqueville (trombone), Nicolas Montier, Michel Bescont and Marc Bresdin (saxophones), Bernard Thévin (piano), Marie-Ange Martin (banjo), Gérard Gervois (tuba) and Laurence Bridard (batterie).
Thanks to Lucien Paturel for this vidéo...
You can find an audio recording of this tune on the CD "Crazy 'bout red-head mamas" by Les Rois du Fox-Trot (Stomp Off n°1429).
They play once a month, on the first Saturday, at Le Petit Journal St.Michel, where this clip was recorded.
