@AZeRBaIJaNIeR its a bad thing to forget ur past.. before 11th century when turks came to Azerbijan there was a great and glorious civilization .. just see who is the national hero of Azerbijan "BABAK KHORAM DIN" he fought agianst Islam .. see how many Zoroshtian temples are in Azerbijan... Turks came from centeral and east asia and started kiling azeris ( before islam search Sasanid and Turks wars) and after Isalam( Iran and Ottaman wars).BTW iran was called persia by non-iranians...

@AZeRBaIJaNIeR not all iranian aren persian ( Kurd,lur,Azeri, Baluch,Gilaki..ect) ,but all persian are Iranian. and didn't i told u "SUFI" ...googel it ... sufi al-din...people of Iran were mostly shite to oppose the arabic culture (Azeris,Persians,mozandarni...­) BTW i have read that Safavid were first Sunii but they transfered becasue of politics and their enemies( Ottaman and arabs) to Shitte( i've read it in WIKI pedia search it u'll find uit out ) ....

@AZeRBaIJaNIeR did u even know that the name of Safavid empire came from the name of a Persian Shitte who azeris supported (his name was SUFI ) .. haven't asked your self why they have different religion while Turks all came to the reigion togheter and had the same family(ghoz?) and lived very closed to each other ? As i told u , the safavid army were mostly iranian with some Turkish tribes( at begining it was opposit) who were under control of iranian ( chosen by azeri king)
