A student film from Northern Illinois University where we had to make a short film in the German Expressionist style. Matt Birchler, Matt Evert, Matt Ross, Phil Brown and Anne Gregolunas

This is very good. Most student films, made as a class project, in the style of a genre, are good exercises for the students but prety rubbish to watch. However, this is excellent - it is well shot, well acted and has a good script that references the genre very well. I enjoyed watching.

dint quite get the last part... i mean y was he shot? and who shot him?

nice movie, but I feel u used too much "pancartes" don't know what the english word is (shots with just words). a good image tells more then words i always feel.
just my opinion tho it was very nice

not saying that i didnt LOVE this, i think it would have been great to add a bit more mystery to who he was. Great work though!

The cops thought he was roughing up the woman. Also, it's the 1930s in a small town; freaks aren't exactly accepted at this point.
