Amitabh Bachchan is currently busy with the promotion of his upcoming film Rann, where he is playing the most respected person in media called Vijay Harshvardhan Malik.
Amitabh seems to be too attached to the role he is portraying. The film is about media battles, where Ram Gopal Verma is going to show all the truths about media.
Films stay back in peoples minds and they really matter a lot to the society, because some people really relate themselves to films. So, when we asked Amitabh Bachchan on the suicide traumas post 3 Idiot, he said I think its the media which actually controls people. Before the release of 3 Idiots too, there were suicide cases; even before the media became so popular, there used to be suicides. In March, when the results are out, from every town, there is at least one suicide case. So, how can you blame a film like 3 Idiots? Who is giving you other messages? Its the media who has flashed the news, so why havent they shown other suicide cases in the country? There are films which give you strong messages, like 3 Idiots on the education system, says an angry Big B.
When we asked him about ragging cases which have increased in town after the film showed it, he denied that too and told us something which no one knew, Ragging has happened with me too. I passed out my college in the 60s, and at that time also, ragging was existent in colleges, sometimes worse. I dont think at that time, Bollywood films ever showed ragging in them. It is hard to imagine what kind of ragging he has gone through, but when we asked him to elaborate on it, he simply said I really cant tell you guys what kind of ragging I have been through. Please dont ask me.
It seems like Bachchan had a bad time in his college days, but we won't push him for more. Who wants to re-visit the ugly memories of the past? We only look forward to his future films.
