@Giflar It could've died and drifted onto the surface and went to the shore to spend it's remaining time of life on shore... There was one, of a couple of strange but interesting creatures, that my friend filmed while near an island (I forgot where, I'll ask him when comes back to the U.S) that would rise to the surface and head to the shore.
