A pale silhouette flutters by the side of the motorway. Sometimes we see it, caught in the beams of light from the passing cars, and then we lose it in the black of night.
It is a piece of debris that, blowing in the wind, takes on the shape of a 'spook' or ghost, as if it is about to take on a life of its own
