is this camera worth it as far as price point? and do you think this is a better deal than the canon rebel t2i? Just curious :P i can't decide between these two.. :) Thanks!

@Danieloh3145 IF you can afford the T2i I would go with that camera because it has better features and you won't have the need to upgrade from it for good amount of time. If you have a good sum of money, I would buy the T3 with some good lens and get used to the camera and then eventually sell the body and buy a T2i body. With this option, by the time you buy a T2i, you'll be familiar with SLRs and you will have a good collection of lens. :)
