Follow latest updates at http://twitter.com/RT_com and at http://www.facebook.com/pages/RT/326683984410?ref=mf Volcanic ash from Iceland that's blowing across northern Europe is severely disrupting air traffic across the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. In the next two hours, all flights in British airspace will be suspended, grounding hundreds of planes, including those at the world's busiest international airport at Heathrow in London. The ash is dangerous to aircraft because the tiny particles can damage engines, causing them to shut down.
