  • People ask me what in the world possessed me to learn such an obnoxious sounding instrument when I was already semi-adept at two quieter and nonreeded instruments. The first thing that always pops into my head is always a picture this.

    Thanks for the great inspiration!

  • Marvellous. Bloody 'ell.

  • hi, nick, nice to be blew away by you again, feels great, hahaha!! I am acctually thinking to learn this concerto, and maybe perform it next year, don't know if I could manage. I guess the stamina is the biggest challenge for me, with all these endless register jumps and extreme dynamics. you are trully stunning, after all these years not see you, I almost forgot how awsome you are, haha!! - Sai

I didn't change my reed, I don't know what you saw exactly. In fact the mozart Concerto performance and the Elliot Carter were a few weeks apart and played the same reed for both pieces with no adjustment between!

    Have fun.

    Nick

  • HAHAHAHAHA, he had to change reeds!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG~! Like I said on part 1 , hAHAhahaha, this amuses me, his first reed was red , and this one's a dark blue ..... hehehehehe

  • this is awesome! it sounds like creepy music on crack but in a good way

  • @laqerhill Oh yeah, it definitely takes your breath away. You should try to play it sometime.

  • wonderful

  • That is fantastic. It must have been exhausting; I hear oboe can take a lot out of you, and this is one intense work.

  • Well, they probably don't care much for you either - so you're even. Hope that works better for you.
