man, i couldn't really tell you the specifics because i'm not a pilot...i'm a loadmaster which is an enlisted position on the jet. i can tell you that to become a pilot it takes several years of training starting out learning how to fly small planes and working your way up. it takes alot of studying and training and good grades....and definatley hard work and determination.

do all pilots have to have lasik surgery cause i want to go into the air force

well all i know about is air mobility (cargo jets, tankers) and i think as long as your eyes are at a certain correctable limit with glasses without having surgery is ok. i know quite a few C-17 pilots with glasses. but i'm not sure about other air frames....i'm pretty sure your eye sight has to be perfect or at an allowable correction with lasik to fly fighters or bombers.
