Revised- PotO- "Truth Beneath the Rose"- (E ♥ C) -Phantom of the Opera- (FFTHC)

PLEASE READ: (lyrics below)- As promised, here is the studio version - I cut out beginning & end to fit what I already had & tweaked the rest, also adding a bit for effects to fit music, etc, since this does sound different from the other one. :) (I wanted to do another since my sound got warped on the last one after I used the YT edit feature, but will leave both up since so many favorited the other one.) This is another hidden plot vid- those who don't like the idea, please don't rate badly - just think of it as AU. First, trivia to explain: Since ancient times, the rose signified silence. To meet "sub rosa"- Latin for "beneath the rose" -was to have a secret tryst, to speak the truth in confidence. To send a rose to someone was to invite/ summon them to this secret meeting (to send a rose wasn't a romantic thing in time period of movie- Americans made it that way in later centuries). But RED in the rose is symbolic of love. Told in E & C's POV, some Mme. G. & R too. The "beast"- refers to all of them at times, (not just Erik), because of hatred, prejudice, fear, etc. The song is about religious wars- my vid shows the war in the opera house between light & darkness. Loads of symbolism- i.e.- "deceived"- denotes darkness but glow around C. her trying to hold on to light. Green glow - renewal. Frost on "cruel"- shows a type of death as E grieves losing C, 3 times darkness covers C when he pushes her down, etc. I'll let viewer decide the rest. (no room to write more) Story: Christine fears all Erik has done & the darkness he inhabits but her heart is drawn to him- she's torn but keeps his secrets & her own- Mme. Giry also does- Raoul & others try to unearth them & destroy him because of all he's done, not seeing their own faults. Both C, E (& R) hurt one another & beg forgiveness in a vicious cycle, until end, after the final battle when they must make a decision to accept and forgive, Christine at last giving in to the secrets of her heart. The ghostly image of them at end is symbolic of future to go w/ Latin sung there showing end of tale- but continuance of what occurred between them. *Et est signum ... dies datus ... et tenebris ... mea culpa ... acta est fabula pereo!

*Latin to English translation: "It is a sign of the given day and darkness. I am at fault. The drama has been acted out and is finished!"

("dies datus" is a Latin phrase meaning a practice - the given day (or appointed time) to a defendant for the continuance of a cause in a court of law - for my story, could be construed as the continuance of secrets that remain hidden)
"et tenebris" - and darkness
"mea culpa" - my blame/fault
"acta est fabula" - from Roman times - said once a stage play was over- it literally means: "The drama has been acted out."
"pereo" - perish - to pass away - finished- the tale of this song is finished.)

@lpbh25 - lol- thank you!! :)) (as for being worn out- try editing it! lol For songs like this - (epic ones, like most of WT's music and some other bands)- I have to take small sections each day/sitting and only do a little at a time until I get each part the way I want it before going to next section or I would be overwhelmed - lol - even that way, I'm usually dizzy after the first few hours. ;-) lol - but I love making vids as a hobby, love WT and bands like them- and it is so worth it...)
