Riviera: The Promised Land - Probably the closest thing we're going to get to a dating sim in the US (aside from Sprung, that is), Riviera: The Promised Land is a pretty spiffy GBA RPG with an interesting, if simple, battle system, and a point-selection system that's a bit reminiscent of some P&C adventures. If you can find it now, snag it.

"Welcome to RPGFan's Games of 2005 feature. We think we've found a system that we like with the way our staff setup has changed. Also to be noted is the fact that Kingdom Hearts II and Front Mission 5 were not considered in this list. As both arrived less than 10 days before the end of the year, KH2 on the 22nd and FM5 on the 29th, our staff members did not have the time to fully appreciate these import titles. Look forward to seeing them on next year's list, but, without further ado, 2005's Games of the Year await."

Think about it. It's an GBA Game, but the game quality and gameplay, and also the music and voice acting are more amazing than most of the DS Games. I think that's why they remade it for PSP.  When i played in PSP it really feel like a PSP Game instead of an GBA (Yeah i know they improved some effects, but the GBA version was also good enough to judge it this way)
