Z Corp's Dan Topjian uses ZMAX to create a tough functional 3D ZPrinted skateboard model. Then Dan skateboards around the Z Corp. parking lot on the finished ZPrinted model. http://www.zcorp.com

  • How does it print the internal ball bearings?

  • @spbarnes In this case the board (only) was 3D printed and then infiltrated with ZMax. The skateboard wheels and trucks are real commercial parts. However we've also create and ridden urethane molded skateboard wheels, created by pouring liquid urethane into 3D printed molds, on both the same 3D printed skateboard deck and a real skateboard deck - however, the wheel bearings and trucks are commercial parts.

  • @spbarnes It does it during the build - the 3D CAD file would have specified the moving parts in the right clearances to enable them to move in relation to one another, and the printer automatically prints everything to those specifications in one build - no assembly afterwards. It's really amazing!
