I actually saw Lestat on the day Drew Sarich went on as Lestat. May 27, 2006 matinee. I never saw the show before that (or after XD) but I ADORED Drew as Lestat XD I've since heard Hugh Panaro's Lestat and I like his but I have a soft spot for Drew since I saw him live XD

He has one of the most expressive voices I've heard- you can hear so much emotion in his voice, and not just needing to rely on seeing expressions to get that emotion- which he also does as amazingly as the emotive voice. He's just amazing, this man.
I agree with you guys with the fact that this guy has an AMAZING voices but I believe that Hugh Panaro was the better Lestat. Drew Sarich was a WICKED Armond. Its all in the eye (err um ear) of the beholder. In my opinion you get 2 totally different emotions from each singer. With Sarich singing it the way he articulates he makes it more powerful and seems agressive. Panoro sounds more meloncholy which fits the scene better in my opinion (going by the book.) (please don't take this personally)
