(Music box Ver.) -Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind-symbolical theme song

This music was made as a symbolical theme song of "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind".
But it was just used to promotion and not used for the movie's inside.

When making this story into a film, the image girl was recruited for film promotions..
and Narumi Yasuda acquired the grand prix.
Then, this song　of the Takashi Matsumoto writing songs and the Haruomi Hosono composition was sung by her.
This song was meant to become the theme song of this movie at the time.
and this song was used within movie trailer.
However, after this, the movie director Hayao Miyazaki and the producer Isao Takahata opposed it for the reasons that the contents of the movie is not suitable for the image of the song.
After all, this song was not used into the movie and it was displayed in ending credit as an image song (symbolical theme song) for the movie promotion.

Thx ! As you say, a lot of music box versions exist in this music. But I guess this is the best of music box versions among others ! :D

I downloaded the sound source of this video from other video sites. It was a very long file. So I cut out only this music from that file. And I reedited to short video. This is that video.

To our regret, I don't know the title of CD to which this music is included. I looked for it once or twice, but I couldn't find it. Sorry I couldn't help you.

Indeed, speaking of which did Avatar reminded you of Nausicaa and CITS combined with Last of the Mohicans? Cameron is an otaku and animation fan as he did borrowed from Nausicaa, Totoro, CITS and Mononoke as one of teh many movies he borrowed from. Even the toxic jungle with masks and similar flying vehicles, the floating mountains, the giant tree, the robots, teh attack of the navi village being like the Tromekians did, and that sort of thing including floating crystals
