Sexing a Giant Centipede

Recorded on January 9, 2012 using a Flip Video camcorder. If people want a more detailed tutorial, please request it. Also, the centipede is alive and well. She woke up and went to hide in her vivarium. Haven't seen her since. The method I briefly describe is a safe method for determining the sex of your giant centipede and has been used by more experienced hobbyists than myself.

Thanks! This was my first time ever trying to sex a giant centipede to be completely honest. I thought about posting it on AB for people to look at, but a big, blurry gelatinous blob probably wouldn't help pede experts sex it.

The species in the video is Scolopendra subspinipes(most likely dehaani from what I've gathered). I did not use CO2. I used the drowning method.

Awesome...I tried and still couldn't knock out a polymorpha after 45 min.  How long did it take? You can answer me via email if you don't want to describe here. Thar be hungry trolls lol.

Very cool, but not sure I would want to have my fingers that close to a centipede.
