FDR in 1936 and 2008

This is a speech by FDR during his reelection campaign in 1936. I think of this whenever I hear Republican presidential candidates talk about "making health care more accessible and affordable for every American." In FDR's case, the Republicans were claiming they could create and manage the social programs FDR was fostering better than FDR himself. I think everyone knows the Republicans can not be trusted with social programs like universal health care, but they've seen the writing on the wall and desperately want to take the issue away from the liberals and progressives. The GOP (Greedy Old Perverts) can not be trusted with any issue that benefits the poor and middle class. By the way, even though it's not widely known, we are worse off today than we were in 1936 when FDR gave this speech.

George Washington favored government over individual freedom and this is why he chose Hamilton over Jeffersonian Republicans so you can blame Washington for the government. We have to date, which serves the interest of the poor and minorities because United States always moves towards justice. And that's thanks to our government and individuals, but our founders knew what they were doing and I'm not like you I would question their judgment because they created the government in which we have.

Socialism was a word you were taught and what you mean to say is that the Democrats care about the poor and believe me , the corporations who serve the interest of the Republican Party always come up with names for people who serve the poor and in most societies, those people who care for the poor are often called such miserable names. You do realize that Reagan as the highest tax increase in American history right? and that he signed gun laws into law.

Maybe the poor (poor immigrant unskilled workers are always welcomed by liberals and heartless businessmen), but the middle class?? Romney won 7 point margin among people living in households that make $50,000 or more. He won the middle class. Read the national exit poll.
