Explanations of signal operations on a siding track. At a converging point, signal may show a diverging signal aspect, such as R/G (Div.Clear), with a two-heads signal but it may be simplified to G (Clear) with a single-head signal. Also, the preceding signal may have a single-head instead if two-heads for the simplicity. Such a simplification will give a benefit of low cost construction for railroad companies. In this movie, the approach mode is also demonstrated, in which the signal lits only when a train approaches the signal.
