This is what goes on inside of every guys head who's in love. Every character in this scene besides Jocelyn is a manifestation of a guy's personality. "I'm gonna lose everything!" is the first rational response a guy makes when he falls for a girl.

As an impressionable young lad, I found that purposefully losing and risking it all for love was truly romantic...so much so that I ACTED on it. Ouch! ...Such a brutal scene... so dazed and confused.., so glad she didn't leave him hanging forever?
