Isn't this great? The tune at about O:45 is the White Cockade, an old Jacobite rebellion song improved by Robert Burns. There is a great vocal of it by two Scotsmen, The Corries. Type in their name and White Cockade on Ytube. I promise you won't be wasting your time!

Inspirational! Thankyou!
Yes,gavsky23, if only video cameras had existed in the 1860s. But if they had existed the people walking through the background at 0.44 would be time tourists! Thanks again.

Hey guys that's awesome. I'am a fifer, 37th North Carolian infantry. A drummer and I go to Fort Delaware every year or at least the 3 past years. Was that army 2/4 for the song Ed Kellogs Quickstep?
Any ways keep up the good music
Sincerely Fifer JD M.

Ed Kellogs is not beat to army 2/4 in that video, though certainly you could (nothing you don't already know ;-) ) it's a beating written in 2005 by old time drum guy Bob Frail who learned drums in Union Endicott Colonials under Acton Ostling, who was an old Chester Drum Corps drummer from the early 20th C.
If you would like a copy of the beating, I can pop it up on the web page.
