FOX4 News: UFOs Spotted Over Kansas City, MO - Oct. 4 - 6th, 2011

"Are they airplanes? Helicopters? Visitors from another planet? Those are the questions that some metro residents are asking after strange lights were reported in the skies over Kansas City this week.

The lights were captured on cell phone video shot on Monday night near Van Brunt and 47th Street in Kansas City. According to the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON, people have reported bright, shooting lights and hovering craft in the skies across the area on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.

"We do have other reports of very large craft hovering in different areas, and that's quite unusual because normal airplanes do not have that behavior. Helicopters do, but these are not described as helicopters," said Margie Kay, assistant state director for MUFON.

Kay says that MUFON has contacted area airports, and has found that some of the 82 reported sightings could be explained as stunt planes. But she says that quite a few of the reports are still unexplained."

UPDATE: "KC Flight, a civilian air formation team out of Lee's Summit, Missouri, has come forward and said they're the "aliens" in the sky. Pilot Phillip Lamb said his eight-man team is to blame."

@kcsunnyone its only slightly odd that this happened and then the baby went missing. Cute little baby too :( The cops are saying the mother failed the lie detector test, but they wont provide the husband or her with documented proof. They are just saying that hoping to scare a confession out of her if she is responsible for her baby missing. Fucked up, but a tactic nonetheless @_@.... The aliens didnt take no babies...

@indibabs122275 how can commercial planes move left right up and down in the same area and vertically at a very slow speed and hover???? ive been watchin commercial planes flyin by them tryin 2 figure out what they are and helicopters as well took them a while 2 do so ive seen all kinds of stuff and know there not planes just watch the sky 4 long periods of time there not commercial planes lol and count there all over the place

Also when a plane flies into the wind it is possible for the plane to sit in place and hover as well. Ive seen airliners do it. watch this real plane appear to hover at 1:28 watch?v=g9KDvLWLEk0 .. I beleive in aliens and ufos of some form but the sightings in lee's summit are a group of planes and people with wild imaginations.

Have u not seen the red bull air races? the type of planes they use r capable of a nose up hover. The rc aircraft modeled after them are capable of "3d flight" ive seen some planes perform some stunts u would not think possible but r. ive seen other videos claiming to be ufos and I have read the articles posted days before from the kc flight team stating they would be doing a practice run over lee's summit on Oct 31st. I believe in the unknown and I know these r planes. I can hear the planes
