Although the results seem great at the beginning, over time the body starts to realize that not enough calories are coming in and reacts accordingly. Give your metabolism a boost in order to break the weight loss plateau when you reach it. Increase your exercise regime, stop skipping meals or eating too few calories and remember to eat little and often, every three hours or so is about right.

  • people need to realize snacking+excersizing not eating full meals is the way to go lol.ive lost almost 40 lbs and am seeing the first of my abs by following that ideal, i dont drink 16 quarts of water a day eithier. I drink water with meals before excersizing and try to get excersize when/if i eat.

  • the older you get the less food you need as well as the more cardio as your heartrate is slower. the health industry makes the mistake of trying to generalize everyone when people have different and unique metabolizms. alot of info is incorrect and often bad advice by people in the health industry as its fad oriented not researched oriented.

  • food=energy for the body most people in the health industry have a wrong view that eating = evil when its sedentary lifestyle, not watching the amount you eat as well as the calories you eat and not eating nutritionaly thats the problem.another part of the problem is the food industry large sizing portions when you go out to eat one meal is often enough for an entire days worth. also i believe people of different ages and bodyframes need different amounts of food/calorie intake and cardio.

  • I disagree. yo yo dieting takes place by not sticking to a nutritional/exercise program while i do agree with eating small and semi often. what happens with yo yo excersize programs failing is people do not modify and lesson thier calorie intake with thier weight loss so they eat the same portion amounts. typicaly you should not be eating meals, but snack size (i eat about 3-4 meals of about 200 calories) and excersize WITH your meal either before or during.
