She is so right, we girls do like to talk about Tennessee. This brings a tear to my cheek because, while still living in East Tennessee, my Mama would sing this song, one of many, while playing her guitar. My Mama instilled my love of music and I miss her more than words can say. Patsy, in my mind, is still one of the very best and she takes me straight back to those carefree days in that great State. My childhood ended at age 7, when they moved me North. No one does this better than Patsy.

I agree with Gemminicus. Patti Page has a very sweet voice, but Patsy has a voice like she lived her songs.

Well this version has the touch of a woman who could probably have been a great actress. She lived her songs.
Page had a pleasing voice but it was completely lacking any emotion or passion at all.
Patsy pretty much stole ever song she ever covered - except perhaps The Wayward Wind but then there was never more passion in a voice than in Gogi Grant's. But if anyone came right up on her bumper with it, it was Patsy. Gogi was greatly honored to find out that she was Patsy's favorite singer

Absolutely my favorite rendition of the song. She was in her prime with this.
