this would be like getting a huge net and spreading it out over a huge distance if we were hunting for say deer on land, and having all types of animals, plants, trees etc getting caught and ripped out the ground, then throwing them all away and only keeping the deer, if people used that to hunt on land it would not be acceptable, so hows it ok to do this in the sea?

humans can survive without fish and chips. chips is unhealthy and oceans are so polluted that eating fish is too toxic. unless if concentrated mercury and lead in fish meat is your thing.

why is it wrong for them to raise awareness about air pollution that kills people? yes, they have 4x4 and they drive them on DIFFICULT ROADS. where are you driving your suvs? on smooth roads? they dont forbid driving a gas guzzler.

This is all about getting your "green dollar" in their pockets. Fishing has been going on for generations and that wouldn't happen if it was as destructive as Greenpeace etc say. All food production has a price. Fruit and vegetables are produced on land that was once rainforest etc and are driven to market in vehicles that use fossil fuels.People live on land that was once pristine. If the land based food producers were treated the same way SeaFOOD producers are there would be nothing to eat.

Trawling is the least effective method of commercial fishing , but these fisherman are just trying to make a living the best way they know how, to feed their families. A change may be in order but yet all types of commercial fishing are in jeopardy due to special interest groups with specific interests in mind, such as eliminating comm. fishing all together. it takes around hundred years for coral reefs to form. trawling destroys them in a day. there are no fish around trawled areas and they have to go fishing into international seas. can you comprehend why trawling is bad or are you too stupid?

people from my town can feed themselves and my orphanage without trawling. I hope others can do the same.
