U of L Men's Soccer Big East semi-finals. Louisville looks to advance to the championship match for the first time in school history, taking on the Fighting Irish in Morgantown, WV. For 120 minutes the two teams battled it out, concluding the match in 0-0 ending draw. With both the opposing Big East offender of the year and Big East defender of the year (Bright Dike of Notre Dame and Phil Edginton of Louisville) worn to the bone, it came down to a penalty kick shootout to decide who would advance to the final round. With Andre Boudreaux in goal, the Cards stepped up and blocked the first attempt for the Irish, but in the end it proved not enough, as Irish rose to edge out their competition 4-3. With the boys heading back to Louisville, they now look ahead to the NCAA tournament and the prize at the end of their season long commitment. Stick around for the ride to Carey, NC!
