I had the pleasure to talk with Capt Lou on many occasions when they taped at the Hamburg Field House. Back in the day when McMahnon was a pencil neck geek. RIP Lou, you were always a class gentleman with an amazing sense of wit and showmanship.

I forgot just how good Captain Lou really was! He could just let the words fly and it would actually make sense! It was very sad to hear of his passing. When I think of him, I remember a time when wrestling had class. Guys like him, Gorilla Monsoon, and Fred Blassie. Instead of all the sleaze and bullshit you have now in wrestling.

I didn't know Captain Lou Albano played as Mario and did the voice of Mario.

Lou Albano could do a promo. I can't name even three guys who could rattle off a promo like that today.
