On the program:
- Supporters of a Renewable Electricity Standard have introduced a bill calling for 15 percent renewables by 2021.- A study from IHS CERA says oil imported to the U.S. from Canadian oil sands has only about 6 percent higher GHE emissions than average crude consumed in this country.- Names on the short list for the EPA hydrofracking study panel include people with strong opinions on both sides of the issue.- Boeing has won a Pentagon contract to produce a prototype for a solar-powered drone that designers hope will stay in the air for up to five hours.
