1950s EXTREMELY underpowered for its day, could have been a winner if all the engine manufacturing Heirarchy had not been at war here in the USA. GREAT MODEL AND WISH (since im old) it had half the power the model has here, great video.
@flyr602 Is it able to fly really slow and still stable? Like 30% throttle or so?
I want a jet that can soar like a sailplane (yep, probably weird, but speed isn't everything in confined spaces. :-) ). Perhaps you can tell me. Cheers!
F4D one of my favorites for some reason. I wonder if it was the jet that made a low pass over my house when I was about 5 in early 60s, would have had to have come out of either Norfolk or Cherry Point... Looks like it has good slow speed manners which I would need, not much of a club flier, like things I can used in my 300x450ft field/front yard. Have a Diablo, wary to try it in that close of a space not knowing its manners. Looks bigger than the F4. Great flying & cool dog!
Quick question - how easily can this plane be hand launched? I only have very thick grass to fly over, which is fine for belly landings, but hopeless for ROG...
thx--did u fly these?

you really have to give it a good shove at full power--epoxy a wood handhold to bottom of acft to throw
