I was there as well. It was a shame that Bob Motz couldn't make an appearance this year and set the sign ablaze. Still had a blast. Standing room for me only though, it was still well worth it.

Yeah, standing room only is the way to go. Considering the emount of time you spend wandering the pits and whatnot, why pay for a seat you won't be using?

It is a shame about Motz. The way I hear it, he won't be back in his truck anytime soon, if at all. If anyone knows otherwise, I'd love to hear it.

Motz aside, Shockley (and everyone else there, as always) put on a great show.

wasnt the speed like 290 something? i was there with my girlfriend last night too. I was really far up in the stands and i could feel the heat lol.

No idea. My vision was still clearing and my ears hadn't regained functionality when he finished his run - so I couldn't really see the board or hear the announcer. lol.
