Meet some of the newest residents at TWS, four wild born cougar cubs.
Noah, Carlo and Langley, came to us after a tragic accident. Their mother was killed in self defense by a hunter. They are adjusting to captive life very well, each beginning to develop their own personalities.
Andre was placed with us after being abandoned by his mother in Canada. Although he was diagnosed with metabolic bone disease, he feels as though he is the strongest of all the cougars at TWS. Andre is a confident young cougar with the courage of a tiger. He has adapted to his new environment perfectly.
Please help these for cougars by donating today at www.wildcatsanctuary.org.
Thank-you for your committment to cougars! The problem in BC is trophy hunting, sometimes a mom is taken, as she hunts alone, when in fact she has kittens in a den nearby. Trophy hunting is not only entirely unacceptable it doesn't work as a wildlife management plan. Public education re: co-existance and debatable but much more humane sterilzation. We must end the cougar sport hunting culture, killing for sport/fun is not a healthy behaviour for any person.

Thank you for sharing the cubs growth with us...
I hope they will have wonderful lives at TWC just as the orphaned cubs have at BCR. (now about 4yrs old, but still our "babies".
What a shame they will never know true freedom.
Thank you for all that you do!
