Condon ripped off only one scene from I, Claudius. The rest of the story is original. It was rather cheap of Condon to do that, but at the same time, I think its awesome that he used Graves' fictionalized versions of Livia and Tiberius for Mrs. Iselin and Raymond Shaw. Two of the greatest examples of Roman decay were perfect for Condon's satire of the Ultra-Conservative establishment of the 50s. It's even crazier that Iselin's backstory is modeled in part on Augustus Caesar.

Really? When in my comment ever mention that Obama was pure and good for society-your words not mine.
