Though even if you your comment wasn't so unintentionally funny, I've already lost interest in 3D modelling/animation as a career option, so I honestly don't care about the whole "Max VS Maya VS Blender" topic anymore.
I still promote Blender to potential hobbyists, though, since neither of AutoDick's programs seem to be wallet-friendly.

@hotlava777 yea XSI i interface is much more kindof brief and is more like a toy when you look at it at first but trust me its not a toy and is effective as hell , alot of decent tools specially if you are looking for fast modeling its a beast when you know the shortkeys ! everything is docked well and easy to find , in my opinion its worth for anyone to try !

@Seiferzed is the softimage interface better than maya's? i think maya's UI is rather cluttered with too many things.

autodesk acquired discreet/alias/avid, seriously what is wrong with that ?, how can a company market three competing giants without fucking up one software in favor of another.

i was freaked out to try softimage after i worked for some time on maya , there is actually atutorial that pushed me into trying softimage and what do you know ! the only thing that differs much is the interface ! the rest is very similar and i think once i get a hang on it i will explore another 3D program

I always had the impression that Maya and 3DS Max were owned by different companies, since the fanboys of either one seem to enjoy bashing the other on a daily basis. Now I realise that those fanboys who proclaim that "3ds development sucks" or "the people who wrote Maya were idiots" were basically biting the ass of their home team. As for me, I'll stick to being a Blender Boy, and port whatever knowledge I got from it to one of AutoDick's programs when I need to fill a job resume. ;)
