In My Veins (Rose/Campbell)

Spoilers throughout Takin' over the Asylum, and up to season 4 of Doctor Who. The video is more of a general overview of a story than the actual story, but have a vague guide anyway.



After Rose is trapped in Pete's World , she drifts aimlessly, working with Torchwood on the Dimension Cannon. Eventually her work takes her to Glasgow, where she spots a loud youth on the streets with a strangely familiar face. Although she can't get through the crowd, she follows him back to where he goes, and dresses up as a traveling doctor to explore the facility and find answers.

While the doctor cover doesn't last long, she quickly strikes up a friendship with the youth, and, despite her reservations, finds herself drawn to him. When a traumatic event at the hospital drags up painful memories, she has an attack of despair and flees.

Of course, with her temporary apartment only a short distance from the hospital, it's not so easy to keep her mind off of it, and it's not long before she resolves to try another shot at it.

For awhile it works out quite well, until the dimension cannon engages and throws her across universes again...just in time to watch the Doctor killed by an alien threat she's too late to stop.

She ends up back at the hospital for lack of anywhere better to go...but rather than run away from the painfully familiar face back to drifting, she chooses to take the opportunity to share in his life instead.

It turns out fairly well.
